This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Establish strong customer relationships and address customer needs to enhance both short- and long-term sales performance.
• Develop pre-call objectives and conduct evaluations after calls.
• Address objections, misunderstandings, and concerns to secure calls to action for closing sales calls.
• Meet customer needs and expectations while fostering trusted customer relationships.
• Create and implement call plans to maximize coverage, frequency, access, and sales opportunities.
• Gain insights into customer needs, market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical information, and sales expertise.
• Share market intelligence with the in-field team, brand team, and sales manager.
• Distinguish AbbVie's value proposition with assigned healthcare providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• A bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant equivalent industry experience is required.
• A minimum of five (5) years of relevant and equivalent industry experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.
• Preferred: Three (3) or more years of experience in the pharmaceutical, health, or science industry.
• A high school diploma/GED is required.
• Demonstrated track record of leadership success.
• Strong presentation abilities.
• Robust business acumen.
• Proficient in the use of business tools.
• Strategic and critical thinking skills.
• Capacity to identify customer styles/behaviors and adapt sales approaches accordingly.
• Ability to function effectively within a matrix environment.
• Preferred: Experience in the pharmaceutical commercial industry, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing.
• Preferred: In-depth knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive aspects.
• Preferred for non-English-speaking countries: Proficiency in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and maintain good standing or be eligible to obtain credentials.
• Capability to pass background checks, drug screenings, provide proof of immunization/vaccination, complete fingerprinting, and secure specific licenses as required.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and adhere to safe driving standards.
• Ability to operate a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
