This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field to drive sales performance.
• Successfully manage the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Establish robust customer relationships and address customer needs to enhance both short-term and long-term sales performance.
• Develop pre-call planning objectives and conduct post-call evaluations to continually improve sales outcomes.
• Skillfully address objections, misunderstandings, and concerns while consistently achieving logical and actionable outcomes to finalize every sales call.
• Create and execute a calling plan that meets established call metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency with key customers to enhance access and sales opportunities.
• Continuously enhance understanding of customer needs and expectations, the market landscape, competitors, market segments/dynamics, accounts, diseases, products, clinical knowledge, and sales expertise, sharing this market intelligence with the in-field team, brand team, and sales manager for alignment.
• Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with assigned healthcare providers and identify, develop, and sustain disease state experts and advocates to maximize brand success.
• A bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred; relevant equivalent industry experience is required.
• A minimum of five (5) years of relevant industry experience is required in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, with at least three (3) years preferred in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry, along with a high school diploma/GED.
• Demonstrates comprehensive scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge.
• Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools.
• Proactively identifies customer styles/behaviors and swiftly adapts to all facets of the selling approach.
• Understands and utilizes findings to formulate effective sales strategies.
• Proven success in sales with strong presentation skills.
• Functions effectively within a matrix environment.
• Proposes innovative ideas and solutions to capitalize on business opportunities and tackle challenges.
• Valid driver’s license: Must pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements.
