This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Develop pre-call plans and carry out post-call assessments.
• Address objections and secure decisive actions during sales calls.
• Attend to customer needs and cultivate trusted relationships.
• Formulate and execute call plans to enhance coverage and frequency with key customers.
• Acquire knowledge of customer needs, the market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical data, and sales expertise.
• Relay market intelligence to in-field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition to assigned healthcare providers.
• Identify, nurture, and sustain relationships with disease-state experts and advocates/speakers.
• Adhere to AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and relevant laws and regulations.
• A bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related discipline is preferred, or relevant industry experience is required.
• Minimum of five years of experience, including three or more years preferred in the pharmaceutical, health, or science sectors, may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Comprehensive scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge.
• Strong business acumen and proficient in the use of business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Able to adapt selling techniques to align with customer styles and behaviors.
• Proficient in developing sales strategies and innovative solutions.
• Effective operation in a matrix environment.
• Leadership and peer-coaching experience, demonstrating success in progressively responsible roles.
• Preferred experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
• Must meet applicable healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements and be in good standing or eligible to obtain credentials.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving criteria.
• Capable of driving a personal or company vehicle or operating powered material-handling equipment.
