This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in West Virginia.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics within the field to drive sales performance.
• Efficiently oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Foster robust customer relationships and develop solutions to meet customer needs, optimizing both short-term and long-term sales results.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed set targets.
• Establish pre-call planning objectives and conduct post-call evaluations to facilitate continuous improvement in sales effectiveness.
• Skillfully address objections, misunderstandings, and concerns, consistently leading to logical and reasonable calls to action to close each sales call.
• Proactively strive to meet customer needs, expectations, and challenges to build trusted relationships and reach mutually beneficial agreements.
• Develop and implement a call plan that meets established call metrics, optimizing coverage and frequency with key customers to enhance access and sales opportunities.
• Continuously enhance understanding of customer needs, expectations, market landscape, competitors, market segments/dynamics, and accounts.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition with healthcare providers and identify, cultivate, and sustain disease state experts and advocates to enhance brand performance.
• A bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or equivalent industry experience is required.
• A minimum of five (5) years of relevant industry experience is needed in lieu of a degree, with three (3) or more years of experience in the pharmaceutical, health, or science sectors preferred, alongside a high school diploma/GED.
• Possesses comprehensive scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge, recognized as an expert resource by all relevant stakeholders.
• Strong business acumen with proficient use of business tools; demonstrates strategic and critical thinking abilities.
• Proactively identifies customer styles and behaviors, quickly adapting selling approaches accordingly.
• Understands and utilizes insights to formulate effective sales strategies.
• Proposes innovative ideas and solutions to maximize business opportunities and address challenges.
• Contributes impactful ideas for the larger organization and anticipates/responds to changes effectively.
• Functions efficiently in a matrix environment.
• Influences others and is regarded as a credible and respected role model and resource among peers.
• Cultivates collaborative partnerships with district colleagues and cross-functional teams.
• Leads by example, consistently demonstrating positive behaviors and offering peer coaching through challenging environments.
• Documented success in leadership and support roles with increased responsibilities at the district, regional, or organizational levels.
• Proven success in sales performance within relevant therapeutic areas is preferred.
