This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Implement AbbVie brand strategies and initiatives in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Cultivate robust customer relationships and address customer needs.
• Develop pre-call strategies and conduct evaluations after calls.
• Manage objections, miscommunications, and concerns during sales interactions.
• Secure actionable outcomes and successfully close sales discussions.
• Formulate and implement call strategies to optimize coverage and frequency for key clients.
• Enhance understanding of customer needs, territory market dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, medical conditions, products, clinical topics, and sales proficiency.
• Disseminate market intelligence to in-field teams, brand management, and sales leadership.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, nurture, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts and advocates/speakers.
• Adhere to AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and relevant laws and regulations.
• Prioritize the patient in all initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred.
• Alternatively, a minimum of five years of relevant industry experience is required, including three or more years in the pharmaceutical, health, or science sectors, along with a high school diploma/GED.
• Demonstrated history of successful leadership.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Solid business acumen.
• Proficient in using business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to recognize customer styles/behaviors and quickly adjust selling strategies.
• Effectively operate in a matrix environment.
• Preferred experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• Preferred knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive aspects.
• Proficiency in English, both verbally and in writing, is preferred for non-English-speaking regions.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing standards and be in good standing or eligible to obtain them.
• Background checks, drug screenings, proof of immunization/vaccination, and fingerprinting may be necessary.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and comply with safe driving standards.
• Capability to operate a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
