This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Implement AbbVie brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial objectives, and marketing goals.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Cultivate strong relationships with customers and address their needs.
• Prepare pre-call strategies and perform post-call evaluations.
• Address objections, concerns, and misunderstandings during sales interactions.
• Secure actionable outcomes and finalize sales discussions.
• Design and implement call plans to maximize coverage and frequency for key clients.
• Acquire knowledge about customer needs, market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical information, and sales methodologies.
• Share market insights with in-field teams, brand management, and sales management.
• Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition to assigned healthcare providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Bachelor’s degree in health sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related discipline preferred, or relevant equivalent industry experience required.
• Minimum of five years of relevant industry experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, including three or more years in the pharmaceutical, health, or science sectors preferred.
• High school diploma/GED is required when using experience as a substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
• Proven history of leadership success.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Excellent business acumen.
• Proficient in the use of business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to recognize customer style/behavior and adjust selling approach accordingly.
• Ability to function effectively in a matrix environment.
• Proficiency in English, both verbally and in writing, preferred for non-English-speaking countries.
• Must meet applicable health care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements and maintain good standing or be eligible for credentials.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• Must adhere to safe driving requirements.
• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry preferred.
• Knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive aspects preferred.
