This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Oversee assigned territory and targeted accounts.
• Cultivate strong customer relationships and address customer needs.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial objectives, and marketing goals.
• Develop pre-call strategies and perform post-call assessments.
• Address objections, concerns, and misunderstandings during sales interactions.
• Secure calls to action and finalize sales discussions.
• Meet customer needs and expectations to foster trusted relationships.
• Create and implement call plans to optimize coverage and frequency for key clients.
• Acquire knowledge about customer requirements, market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical information, and sales expertise.
• Communicate market intelligence with in-field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition with assigned healthcare providers.
• Identify, nurture, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts and speaker advocates.
• Adhere to AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and relevant laws and regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred.
• Relevant and equivalent industry experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree: a minimum of five years of experience, including three or more years in the pharmaceutical, health, or science sectors is preferred.
• High school diploma/GED is required.
• Demonstrated record of leadership success.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Solid business acumen.
• Proficient in the use of business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to recognize customer styles/behaviors and adapt selling techniques accordingly.
• Effective operation within a matrix environment.
• Preferred experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing.
• Preferred in-depth knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive aspects.
• Proficiency in English is preferred for non-English-speaking countries.
• Must fulfill applicable HCIR credentialing requirements.
• Must be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain HCIR credentials.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings as required.
• Proof of immunization/vaccination, fingerprinting, and other facility credentialing requirements as necessary.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and comply with safe driving standards.
• Capability to operate a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
