This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field, ensuring effective sales performance while managing the assigned territory and targeted accounts.
• Establish robust customer relationships and develop the capability to address customer needs in order to enhance both short-term and long-term sales performance.
• Achieve sales performance targets, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives to meet or surpass these benchmarks.
• Create a pre-call plan utilizing SMART objectives and conduct post-call evaluations to facilitate continuous improvement in sales effectiveness.
• Skillfully manage objections, misunderstandings, and concerns, consistently driving logical and reasonable calls to action to successfully close every sales call.
• Proactively strive to meet customer needs, expectations, and challenges to foster trusted relationships and secure mutually beneficial agreements between AbbVie and its customers.
• Develop and implement a call plan that meets established call metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers.
• Continuously enhance understanding of customer needs and expectations, the market landscape, competitors, market segments, disease states, product offerings, clinical knowledge, and sales expertise, sharing this intelligence with the in-field team, brand team, and sales manager for alignment.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition to assigned healthcare providers and identify, nurture, and maintain relationships with disease state experts and advocates to optimize brand performance.
• A bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or equivalent industry experience is required.
• At least five (5) years of relevant industry experience is required in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, with three (3) or more years preferred within the pharmaceutical, health, or science industries, along with a high school diploma or GED.
• Proactively identifies customer styles and behaviors, quickly adapting all aspects of the selling approach accordingly.
• Demonstrated success in sales with solid presentation skills.
• Provides innovative ideas and solutions to maximize business opportunities and address challenges effectively.
• Understands and utilizes findings to formulate effective sales strategies.
• Exhibits comprehensive scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge, recognized as an expert resource by all relevant stakeholders.
• Strong business acumen with proficient use of business tools; possesses strategic and critical thinking skills.
• Functions effectively within a matrix environment.
• Contributes impactful ideas for the broader organization and anticipates and adapts to changes.
• Influences peers and is regarded as a credible and respected role model and resource.
• Builds collaborative partnerships with district colleagues and matrix teams.
• Leads by example; consistently demonstrates positive behaviors and provides peer coaching in dynamic and challenging environments.
• Proven success in leadership and support roles with increasing responsibility at the district, regional, or organizational levels.
• Valid driver’s license with the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving standards.
• Willingness to travel adequately to cover the territory, including overnight attendance at scheduled training events and sales meetings.
