This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.
• This position is field-based, and candidates should reside within a reasonable distance from the primary city.
• Implement brand strategy and tactics in the field, drive sales performance, and effectively manage the assigned territory and targeted accounts.
• Foster strong customer relationships and demonstrate a capability to solve customer needs, maximizing both short-term and long-term sales performance with a patient-centered approach.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed established goals.
• Develop a pre-call plan utilizing SMART objectives and conduct post-call evaluations to enhance sales performance continuously.
• Skillfully address objections, misunderstandings, and concerns, consistently leading to logical and reasonable calls to action to close every sales call.
• Actively strive to meet customer needs and expectations, building trusted relationships and achieving mutually beneficial agreements between AbbVie and its customers.
• Create and implement a call plan that meets established call metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency with key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities.
• Continuously enhance understanding of customer needs and expectations, the territory market landscape, competitors, market segments/dynamics, accounts, disease, product, clinical, and sales expertise, sharing this market intelligence with the in-field team, brand team, and sales manager to ensure alignment and anticipate environmental changes and challenges, thus optimizing brand strategy and execution.
• A Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience is required.
• Relevant equivalent industry experience required in lieu of a bachelor’s degree is at least five (5) years, with three (3) or more years of experience within the pharmaceutical, health, or science industry preferred; a high school diploma/GED is required.
• Proactively recognizes customer styles and behaviors, quickly adapting all aspects of the selling approach.
• Functions effectively within a matrix environment.
• Demonstrates a proven track record of success in sales and possesses strong presentation skills.
• Proposes innovative ideas and solutions to maximize business opportunities and address challenges.
• Exhibits in-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge, recognized as an expert resource by all relevant stakeholders.
• Demonstrates strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools, possessing strategic and critical thinking capabilities.
• Contributes impactful ideas for the larger organization and anticipates and adapts to changes.
• Influences peers and is regarded as a credible and respected role model and resource.
• Develops collaborative partnerships with district colleagues and the matrix team.
• Holds a valid driver's license and has the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test while meeting safe driving requirements.
