This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wyoming.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Oversee assigned territory and target accounts to enhance both short-term and long-term sales performance.
• Foster strong customer relationships and address customer needs effectively.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Develop pre-call strategies using SMART objectives and carry out post-call assessments.
• Address objections, concerns, and misunderstandings to facilitate closing sales calls.
• Attend to customer needs and build trustworthy relationships to secure mutually beneficial agreements.
• Create and implement call plans to maximize customer coverage and frequency.
• Acquire knowledge of customer needs, the market landscape of the territory, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical information, and sales.
• Relay market intelligence to field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with assigned healthcare providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, nurses, field teams, sales management, marketing, training, customer excellence, and brand stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or equivalent relevant industry experience is required.
• If lacking a bachelor’s degree, a minimum of five years of relevant industry experience is required, with three or more years preferred in the pharmaceutical, health, or science sectors.
• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Proven success in sales is essential.
• Strong presentation skills are necessary.
• Capability to adapt selling techniques to align with different customer styles and behaviors.
• Aptitude for developing innovative solutions and maximizing business opportunities.
• Ability to influence others and serve as a credible role model and resource.
• Skilled in building collaborative partnerships with district colleagues and matrix teams.
• Documented leadership experience and support for success at district, regional, or organizational levels.
• Understanding of insights to formulate sales strategies.
• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry is preferred, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• Proficient in English both verbally and in writing.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and be in good standing or be eligible to obtain credentials.
• Possess scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive expertise.
• Strong business acumen and proficiency with business tools are required.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to operate effectively within a matrix environment.
• Must be able to drive a personal vehicle, company car/truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening test.
