This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• This position is field-based, and candidates should reside within a reasonable distance from the primary city.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field, focusing on sales performance.
• Effectively oversee the assigned territory and targeted accounts.
• Establish strong customer relationships and develop solutions to customer needs to enhance both short and long-term sales performance.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed these goals.
• Formulate a pre-call plan utilizing SMART objectives and conduct post-call evaluations to continuously enhance sales performance.
• Skillfully address objections, misunderstandings, and concerns, consistently leading to logical and reasonable calls to action to successfully close every sales call.
• Actively strive to meet customer needs and expectations, fostering trusted customer relationships and achieving mutually beneficial agreements between AbbVie and clients.
• Design and execute a call plan that meets established call metrics, optimizing coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities.
• Continuously enhance understanding of customer needs and expectations, the territory market landscape, competitors, market segments/dynamics, accounts, disease, product, clinical and sales expertise, sharing this market intelligence with the in-field team, brand team, and sales manager to ensure alignment and anticipate environmental changes and challenges, optimizing brand strategy and execution.
• A Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience is required.
• At least five (5) years of relevant and equivalent industry experience is required in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, with three (3) or more years of experience in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred, along with a high school diploma/GED.
• A proven track record of success in selling and strong presentation skills.
• Proactively identifies customer styles and behaviors, quickly adapting all aspects of the selling approach.
• Proposes innovative ideas and solutions to maximize business opportunities and address challenges.
• Impacts the larger organization with ideas and anticipates and responds to changes effectively.
• Influences others and is regarded as a credible and respected role model and resource among peers.
• Cultivates collaborative partnerships with district colleagues and matrix teams.
• Leads by example; consistently exhibits positive behaviors and provides peer coaching in changing and challenging environments.
• Demonstrated success in leadership and support roles with increased responsibility at the district, region, and/or organizational levels.
• Understands and leverages findings to develop effective sales strategies.
• Preferred: Proven success in sales performance within respective therapeutic areas.
• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry, such as physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing is preferred.
• Proficiency in the English language, both verbally and in writing (for all non-English speaking countries).
