This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• The RAE focuses on adult specialty segments, tasked with generating and securing new business while expanding existing accounts for GeneDx.
• This role involves partnering and solving problems with adult specialty call points within the designated territory, utilizing consultative selling techniques, education, and acting as the primary account manager for physicians and their staff.
• Responsible for lead generation in the assigned territory, ensuring physician and staff satisfaction with GeneDx programs and services, and coordinating sales/service activities among GeneDx team members.
• Works closely with operations to guarantee consistent follow-up and prompt resolution of issues.
• Executes established sales and marketing plans and actively supports development events, such as physician dinners and special events.
• Identifies and engages new physicians through proactive management of a physician development pipeline and clear communication of value propositions.
• Consultatively promotes GeneDx services, assesses customer needs and requirements, and recommends appropriate solutions to physicians and their staff.
• Conducts in-person and virtual client meetings, with an expectation of 4.5 field days each week.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned.
• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• A Master's degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related field is advantageous.
• Minimum of 2 years in healthcare sales, preferably within a physician sales/services environment, or 2+ years as a genetic counselor.
• Preferred experience in neurology, immunology, rheumatology, or other adult specialty segments.
• Must demonstrate a strong technical aptitude and the ability to promote multiple service offerings and business opportunities simultaneously.
• Maintains a professional demeanor and effective communication skills.
• Proven history of integrity and professional ethics.
• Works collaboratively as a team player to provide quality patient care, whether directly or indirectly.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Ability to manage difficult situations and interactions effectively.
• Capable of working independently while successfully managing time and territory activities.
