This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Sweden.
β’ Report to an Area Sales Manager and take ownership of a diverse portfolio of mid-market businesses, ranging from new prospects to the expansion of existing accounts.
β’ Oversee the complete sales cycle for prospects, from initial discovery and solution alignment to negotiation and closure.
β’ Assist GitLab prospects by effectively conveying our DevSecOps value proposition and aligning it with customer business objectives.
β’ Evaluate successes and failures, participate in root cause analyses, and share insights with account managers, marketing, and technical teams.
β’ Maintain precise documentation of buying criteria, processes, next steps, and responsible parties to ensure a dependable, evidence-based pipeline.
β’ Aid in enhancing our sales handbook and procedures by documenting best practices and identifying areas for improvement.
β’ Offer account leadership and guidance throughout pre- and post-sales phases, collaborating closely with technical teams and customer success.
β’ Advocate for the customer's perspective by providing product feedback and suggestions to our public issue tracker.
β’ Demonstrated success in software sales, preferably within a Commercial sales environment, managing a diverse portfolio.
β’ Capability to lead customers through the entire buying journey, including establishing buying criteria, mapping processes, and facilitating clear next steps.
β’ Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with business development, marketing, technical teams, and sales management.
β’ Experience in documenting and maintaining accurate pipeline data and account plans based on factual evidence rather than assumptions.
β’ Expertise in conducting and contributing to win/loss and root cause analyses, sharing insights to enhance team performance and processes.
β’ Skilled in negotiation, presenting to customer stakeholders, and leading commercial discussions to finalize opportunities.
β’ Genuine interest in GitLab, open source software, and preferably familiarity with Git, software development tools, or application lifecycle management.
β’ Alignment with GitLab's core values and a desire to contribute from diverse or transferable sales backgrounds, along with a willingness to travel in accordance with company policy.
β’ Proficiency in both Swedish and English.
