This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Execute prior authorizations efficiently.
• Identify financial assistance resources on behalf of patients.
• Manage the processing of pharmacy claims.
• Oversee the dispensing and shipping of medications.
• Conduct dispensing tasks, including medication ordering, labeling, and ensuring thorough verification.
• Enhance the patient experience by addressing inquiries and requests via telephone.
• Serve as a bridge between the patient, their healthcare provider, and the pharmacist.
• You have mastered essential pharmacy technician competencies, such as claims processing and medication dispensing, and are eager to advance your career.
• You are at ease interacting with patients, providers, and all members of the care team, both in-person and via phone.
• You possess experience in navigating specialty medication benefits investigation, prior authorization, and financial assistance.
• You are enthusiastic about working in a start-up atmosphere and contributing to the establishment of workflows and processes from the ground up.
• You enjoy learning new technologies and are proficient in common pharmacy software systems (e.g., QS1, ComputerRx, PioneerRx, WAM). Additional experience with EMR systems (e.g., EPIC, Cerner, NextGen) or specialty pharmacy systems (e.g., Therigy, Asembia1, ScriptMed) is a plus.
• You are knowledgeable about specialty medications, including those used in autoimmune disorders, endocrinology, and oncology, and are willing to learn about unfamiliar therapeutic areas.
• You are a creative problem solver focused on enhancing each patient’s pharmacy experience.
• You take initiative as an individual contributor while also fostering teamwork and collaboration among colleagues.
• Pharmacy technician, licensed practical nurse, or similar licensure as may be required in your state.
• Technician registration or licensure in the state of employment; national certification as CPhT is preferred.
