This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of developing, maintaining, and executing forward-looking drug spend forecasting models.
• Assess the effects of macro-market changes in collaboration with the Pricing team.
• Collaborate with the Clinical Strategy team to convert anticipated pharmacy market events into quantitative financial models.
• Analyze customer-level trends to pinpoint key drivers and shape future expectations regarding overall spending levels.
• Convert intricate actuarial and analytical insights into clear and engaging narratives for executive leadership, consultants, and sophisticated employer groups.
• Oversee the creation of external trend reports that highlight Smith’s market expectations and cost-containment effectiveness.
• Work alongside the Data Analytics team to develop models for a profound understanding of drug spend forecasts, and create reports to fully automate the forecasting process based on customer-specific trends.
• Actively engage in customer-level assessments to support ongoing retention efforts.
• Collaborate closely with Sales and Proposals teams to develop offers for pharmacy consultants, brokers, and clients that accurately represent SmithRx’s value.
• Interact with pharmacy consultants and brokers to inform the market about SmithRx’s trend expectations and how Smith optimizes client outcomes against those trends.
• Participate in various other ad hoc strategic projects aimed at supporting SmithRx's growth initiatives.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in analytical, forecasting, financial, actuarial, or strategy roles.
• At least 3 years of experience in healthcare and/or pharmacy industry-related positions.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
• An advanced degree or MBA is preferred.
• Strong understanding of pharmacy industry dynamics and major market events.
• Previous experience in finance or consulting is advantageous.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present SmithRx trend expectations with a high degree of rigor.
