Senior Pharmacy Design Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage multiple intricate client projects simultaneously while ensuring timely completion of all deliverables with accurate documentation.

• Conduct a thorough review of existing plan documents, analyze claim files, and assess critical benefit design setup information to guide plan specifications and recommendations for clients and brokers, taking into account the specific nuances of RxBenefits programs and those of the associated PBM.

• Serve as the pharmacy benefit authority during new client implementations, TPA modifications, PBM transitions, and comprehensive plan design audits, along with other projects as assigned by management.

• Maintain active communication and relay benefit design setup information to internal stakeholders, such as the Project Lead, Account Manager, Business Development Executive, and Clinical and Benefit Configuration Specialist.

• Ensure alignment between the client’s benefit intent and design, accurately documented and communicated to all relevant parties.

• Participate in client and vendor calls.

• Engage in consultative and dynamic discussions with complex clients and brokers regarding benefit setup and program/product selection.

• Act as a benefit expert and resource to support departmental and corporate initiatives.

• Possess in-depth knowledge of products, programs, benefit design, services, and market conditions to make informed decisions and recommendations to clients and brokers.

• Keep an updated client-facing project plan.

• Address escalated issues and conflicts that may arise during project execution, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.

• Proactively assess existing project workflows/deliverables and communicate opportunities for process improvement to leadership.

• Lead complex process improvement initiative projects during non-peak periods, emphasizing milestones and strategic outcomes while providing updates.

• Advocate for best practices and contribute actively to the enhancement of team and organizational performance.

• Exhibit a high degree of creativity and independence, requiring minimal oversight.

• Function as an Implementation expert during finalist meetings with potential brokers and clients.

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert to assist Implementation Teams in preparing for Intro and PDX calls.

• Embody a Change Champion role and promote a positive attitude toward change management to encourage acceptance within the team.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in benefit implementation or pharmacy design.

• Demonstrated success in a client-facing role.

• Required pharmacy benefit experience.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).

• Experience with project management software is preferred.

• Exceptional collaborator with strong partnership skills.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities that lead to innovative, client-centric solutions.

• Process-oriented individual who recognizes the importance of maintaining a consistent process to optimize efficiency and quality.

• Solid organizational skills, including time management, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple competing priorities effectively in a dynamic environment.

• Proven experience in understanding complex benefit setups and providing substantial recommendations to facilitate client transitions/renewals.

• A sense of urgency to meet goals, objectives, and deadlines.

• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills; able to collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.

• Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills; capable of conveying technical concepts to non-technical personnel.

• A strong passion for learning and willingness to embrace new challenges.

• Ability to make both routine and complex decisions in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
