Specialty Infusion Pharmacist – On-Call After-Hours

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Provide after-hours and on-call support for specialty infusion therapies.

• Respond to urgent clinical inquiries and resolve infusion-related issues.

• Ensure overall patient safety.

• Address patient questions regarding medication administration, side effects, and therapy expectations.

• Assist patients and nurses in troubleshooting common infusion pump problems.

• Review and modify Ig infusion rates as required by protocol.

• Deliver clinical interventions for weight-based dosages to guarantee appropriate therapy.

• Evaluate patient therapy plans and suggest adjustments as necessary.

• Engage in designated administrative projects designed to enhance infusion therapy and support the expansion of the company’s clinical programs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active Pharmacist License in California.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in specialty infusion, home infusion, or hospital-based IV therapy, with a solid clinical foundation in Ig therapy.

• Strong clinical decision-making abilities and capacity to operate independently in urgent situations.

• Familiarity with IV pumps, infusion therapy protocols, and specialty medications.

• Excellent communication skills for interactions with patients and providers.

• Capability to handle multiple priorities and work effectively in an after-hours environment.

• Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in an on-call or overnight pharmacist position.

• Background in research or process improvement initiatives.
