Specialty Infusion Pharmacist – On-Call After-Hours

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Provide after-hours and on-call support for specialty infusion therapies.

• Respond to urgent clinical queries and resolve infusion-related challenges.

• Ensure overall patient safety.

• Address patient questions regarding medication administration, side effects, and therapy expectations.

• Assist patients and nurses in troubleshooting common infusion pump problems.

• Review and modify Ig infusion rates as necessary according to established protocols.

• Deliver clinical interventions for weight-based medications to guarantee appropriate therapy.

• Evaluate patient therapy plans and recommend necessary adjustments.

• Engage in assigned administrative projects that promote infusion therapy and support the development of the company’s clinical programs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must hold an active Pharmacist License in California.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in specialty infusion, home infusion, or hospital-based IV therapy, with strong clinical expertise in Ig therapy.

• Demonstrated strong clinical decision-making abilities and capacity to work independently in urgent situations.

• Proficient in IV pumps, infusion therapy protocols, and specialty medications.

• Excellent communication skills for interactions with patients and providers.

• Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in an after-hours environment.

• Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in an on-call or overnight pharmacist position.

• Background in research or process improvement initiatives.
