
Specialist, Workforce Development – Grants Administration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Concentrate on WDD grants administration initiatives
• Assist in the implementation of contracts with grantees
• Ensure the proper allocation of funds
• Offer guidance to grantees
• Evaluate and approve invoices from grantees
• Conduct report analysis
• Document lessons learned and achievements
• Oversee assigned grantees and projects
• Direct program reporting and award management functions
• Monitor project/award-specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Strong project management abilities
• Background in the California Community College system and/or Workforce Development is preferred
• Capability to research, analyze, synthesize, and communicate complex subjects to diverse internal and external stakeholders
• Familiarity with project and client management software (e.g., Asana, Salesforce) is preferred
• Proficiency in Excel is required
• Experience in grants administration from the perspective of a funder
• Understanding of state and federal funding
• Openness to engaging in constructive discussions
• A customer service-oriented mindset
• Must possess a valid California Driver’s License, a clean driving record, automobile insurance, and a dependable personal vehicle
