
Specialist Solutions Engineer – Cloud Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as a national cloud security expert, providing support for opportunities across all AHEAD regions.
• Develop and implement technical sales strategies in collaboration with sales representatives.
• Serve as a thought leader within the Solutions Engineering team, responsible for designing, architecting, and consulting for AHEAD clients in the cloud security sector.
• Collaborate closely with delivery leadership to ensure that proposed solutions align with AHEAD's execution and delivery standards for our clients.
• Assist sales teams during engagements by offering advice, solutions, and proposals tailored to meet customer technical and business needs.
• Complete necessary pre-sales documentation (configurations, pricing, services, presentations, justifications, etc.) promptly and accurately.
• Assess sales opportunities by evaluating customer technical requirements, decision-making processes, and funding.
• Formulate cloud security strategies for clients, design and size cloud security products, and utilize subject matter experts across AHEAD to enhance national effectiveness.
• A minimum of 5 years of overall experience in cybersecurity, cloud, or technology consulting, with at least 4 years of hands-on experience in cloud security.
• Previous pre-sales experience is essential. Candidates must have held a pre-sales position and be capable of engaging in pre-sales discussions with clients regarding scope, approach, and pricing.
• Proven track record in creating cloud security proposals in a pre-sales role (SOWs, service proposals, solution designs, or similar client-facing proposal documents).
• Practical experience with at least two leading CNAPP platforms (Palo Alto Prisma Cloud, Wiz, Upwind, or similar), including understanding of the associated capability categories: CSPM, CWPP, CIEM, KSPM, DSPM, AI-SPM, and container/Kubernetes security.
• Practical experience with at least one hyperscaler (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including its native security controls (e.g., AWS Security Hub / GuardDuty, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Google Security Command Center), with at least a working familiarity with the other two.
• Experience in designing and presenting cloud security architectures that integrate solutions across multiple vendors and public cloud providers.
• Capable of effectively presenting cloud security architectures to both technical practitioners and C-level executives during briefings and AHEAD organized events.
