Specialist Scheduler

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide support to essential organizational functions utilizing specialized expertise.

• Leverage data, research analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to assist colleagues and leadership in meeting strategic goals.

• Act as a peer influencer and potentially lead a project or project team.

• Coordinate complex facility-based ancillary testing across various facilities and states.

• Complete the pre-registration and scheduling processes.

• Electronically confirm insurance eligibility and accurately determine and collect patient financial responsibilities.

• Manage complex scheduled events, including high-cost testing, related studies, and specific study instructions.

• Communicate with service delivery teams to enhance patient flow and customer service.

• Initiate the overall patient experience and billing procedures for hospital services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of various scheduling systems.

• Proven experience in managing complex diagnostic testing appointment scheduling processes.

• At least five (5) years of scheduling experience in an acute care environment.

• Capacity to schedule across multiple facilities and states while accommodating significant protocol differences.

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

• Two (2) to Five (5) years of experience in scheduling, financial clearance, patient access, or a related field.

• National certification in HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA must be obtained within one (1) year of hire.

• Proficiency in Patient Registration/Patient Accounting systems and associated software applications.
