This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio, +1 more state.
• Drive sales for the industrial vacuum product range within the designated territory.
• Establish and nurture relationships with key accounts, end users, and distribution partners.
• Meet annual sales targets and performance objectives.
• Communicate significant regional activities to sales management, including product performance, competitive insights, distribution activities, sales strategies, product development, customer service, and account updates.
• Prepare monthly sales forecasts.
• Address sales, product service, and equipment-related challenges.
• Travel within the sales region according to the established travel schedule.
• Maintain, develop, and expand business with customers, national accounts, and end users.
• Keep a list of the largest end users in the region.
• Integrate daily sales calls into the SFDC calendar.
• Conduct daily sales calls on key end users to initiate new projects and enhance market share.
• Monitor and manage new project initiations through the SFDC Sales Pipeline.
• Execute building surveys and product demonstrations.
• Utilize sales tools and resources to facilitate successful project completion.
• Displace competitive machine lines within Nilfisk distributors.
• Relay product information to distributors and end-user accounts.
• Collaborate on sales initiatives with Strategic Account Managers.
• Conduct field tests in support of product management teams.
• Cultivate profitable relationships with distribution partners, strategic accounts, and significant end-user buying accounts.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in industrial sales or a similar industry.
• Background in distribution management and end-user sales/account management.
• Strong work ethic and initiative in addressing challenges and implementing corrective action plans.
• Business maturity and acumen.
• Proficient selling and end-user account management abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Salesforce.
• Effective time and territory management capabilities.
• Skills in problem-solving, gap analysis, action plan development, and execution.
• Willingness to travel overnight as necessary.
• Capability and willingness to transport company products for demonstrations.
• Competence in conducting product seminars and presentations to an audience.
• Ability to successfully pass a physical assessment, including lifting, prolonged standing, and safe-duration driving.
