This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.
• Collaborate with both domestic and global business divisions to plan, design, implement, and support digital solutions and information systems that enhance operational effectiveness, efficiency, and organizational performance.
• Build trust with stakeholders from Global R&D and related departments to understand business challenges, needs, and priorities.
• Propose IT and digital solutions aimed at achieving business objectives and creating business value, while supporting their implementation and utilization.
• Serve as a liaison between business and IT departments to align priorities, expectations, and solution strategies.
• Lead the planning, execution, and progress management of assigned IT projects and initiatives.
• Identify and manage project challenges and risks, promoting appropriate countermeasures.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive project success.
• Promote stable operation and continuous improvement of the systems and applications under your responsibility.
• Share information regarding project status, risks, challenges, and system changes with relevant parties.
• Collaborate with global and regional IT teams to support the execution of IT strategies and various initiatives.
• Possess a university degree (Bachelor's degree) or equivalent practical experience.
• Have over 5 years of practical experience in IT or digital-related fields.
• Hold fundamental and broad knowledge regarding business systems and IT operations.
• Have knowledge of IT service management, project management, or IT governance.
• Demonstrate problem-solving skills, communication abilities, and stakeholder management skills.
• Be able to think autonomously and act proactively in a dynamic environment.
• Possess communication skills at a level capable of conducting business in both Japanese and English, with business-level proficiency preferred.
• Maintain a commitment to continuous learning and a positive attitude towards acquiring new technologies and business knowledge.
• Understanding of ITIL, PMBOK, COBIT, Agile, or other equivalent methodologies and frameworks is desirable.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry, life sciences, or other regulated sectors is preferred.
• Knowledge of research and development (R&D) business processes and the supporting IT systems is desirable.
• Understanding of GxP regulations, CSV (Computerized System Validation), and compliance requirements in regulated environments is preferred.
• Have experience collaborating with cross-functional and multinational teams.
