Special Projects Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and oversee high-priority strategic initiatives directly for the Chief of Staff.

• Identify, shape, and build a compelling case for new business opportunities.

• Proactively monitor the market for growth opportunities that align with Voyager's defense and space strategy.

• Qualify and prioritize leads across new programs, partnerships, and adjacent markets.

• Develop business cases and financial models to support investment decisions at the CEO and board levels.

• Collaborate across finance, strategy, business development, legal, communications, and operations to advance opportunities.

• Act as an analytical resource for the CEO's office.

• Construct and maintain financial models for strategic initiatives, market sizing, and business cases.

• Prepare investment memos, scenario analyses, and return frameworks for review by the CEO and board.

• Synthesize complex financial, operational, and market data into concise executive-level recommendations.

• Assist with capital markets activities, including the preparation of materials for investors and financing discussions.

• Engage with stalled initiatives, clarify ownership, and devise execution plans.

• Translate CEO priorities into cross-functional actions while fostering trust and maintaining working relationships across the organization.

• Help teams overcome obstacles — diagnose root causes and propose a clear path forward.

• Represent the Office of the CEO in cross-functional forums with credibility and discretion.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.

• 7-10+ years of experience in investment banking, strategy consulting, corporate development, private equity, or a rapidly growing defense or technology company.

• Demonstrated proficiency in financial modeling — capable of independently building and auditing complex Excel-based models.

• Strong analytical writing skills — able to translate quantitative analysis into clear executive recommendations.

• Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects from initiation to completion.

• US Person status required (access to export-controlled information and facilities).
