This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
• Provide strategic direction and oversight for HR technology initiatives, focusing on Workday and related HR systems.
• Collaborate as a strategic partner with the Director of HRIS to help develop and expand the overall HR technology ecosystem.
• Convert intricate business requirements into scalable Workday solutions, ensuring smooth integration and coherence across existing and future HR systems.
• Act as a hands-on expert across various Workday modules, including Core HCM, Talent, Compensation, and Integrations.
• Oversee the complete design and configuration process, balancing scalability, usability, and compliance.
• Establish and enforce standards for configuration, naming conventions, and design principles.
• Anticipate downstream effects (integrations, reporting, data integrity) and design accordingly.
• Ensure that Workday design choices are in alignment with the broader HR technology framework and future system integrations.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with a minimum of 15 years of HRIS/HR technology experience, or a master’s degree with at least 12 years of experience.
• Extensive practical knowledge of Workday configuration and system integrations.
• Proven track record in project management.
• Experience in designing complex, cross-module Workday solutions.
• Strong comprehension of integrations, security, business processes, and data structures.
• Demonstrated ability to function effectively in global, matrixed environments.
• Workday certifications (HCM, Compensation, Talent, and/or Integrations) are strongly preferred.
• Experience with Workday integrations (e.g., Studio, EIB, APIs).
• Familiarity with reporting tools, SQL, or advanced analytics concepts.
• Experience in establishing or enhancing HRIS governance models.
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, including negotiation and influencing capabilities.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel, and HRIS systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Ability to identify and address analytical needs in ambiguous situations.
