This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.
• Offer assistance to students with special needs utilizing telephone, internet, and various educational resources.
• Regularly collaborate with learning coaches, general education instructors, and students to provide necessary support for achieving IEP goals.
• Engage in all phases of the IEP process to ensure adherence to federal and state regulations.
• Oversee and deliver instructional guidance, virtual teaching, and general strategies for a designated caseload of students.
• Develop, draft, and assist in implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Organize, schedule, and conduct IEP-related meetings in a virtual setting.
• Assess tests and evaluations, complete IEP Progress Reports, and hold parent conferences.
• Maintain regular communication with parents/learning coaches of students with special needs.
• Collaborate with teachers to coordinate the implementation of specially designed instruction and classroom accommodations/supports.
• Provide direct services to students, including those delivered through web-conferencing software as necessary.
• Participate in the school’s Student Support Team; assist teachers and learning coaches in developing and implementing program modifications and strategies for all students.
• Aid in the organization and proper execution of all paperwork, documentation, and procedures associated with the IEP process.
• Ensure accurate and current data is maintained in the school’s Learning Management System and special education software.
• Assist in administering state assessments and coordinate necessary special adaptations based on the IEP.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related educational field.
• Valid Nevada Special Education Generalist certification.
• Proficient in technology skills, particularly with Microsoft Office products.
• Outstanding communication abilities, both verbal and written.
• Customer-focused mindset.
• High level of adaptability.
• Proven capability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated history of being a team player.
• Willingness to occasionally travel for marketing and state testing events (may involve occasional overnight travel).
• Ability to use a personal electronic device and maintain an email address for two-step authentication.
