This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho.
• Deliver engaging live, synchronous virtual instruction with cameras on via Pearson Online Classroom.
• Provide instruction through whole-group, small-group, and one-on-one formats.
• Monitor student participation and engagement in the virtual classroom.
• Complete grading, progress reports, and conduct parent conferences within established timelines.
• Implement Specially Designed Instruction as part of the MTSS framework, including Tier 3 interventions.
• Provide targeted interventions, enrichment activities, alternative instructional strategies, and assignment support.
• Develop, write, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans.
• Schedule, organize, and conduct meetings related to IEPs.
• Maintain documentation for IEPs, procedures, accommodations, modifications, and records of special education.
• Communicate effectively with parents, learning coaches, teachers, counselors, and special education professionals.
• Keep accurate student data in the Learning Management System and special education software.
• Participate in the Student Support Team to develop program modifications and strategies.
• Manage attendance, academic progress, engagement, and other necessary tasks for homeroom students.
• Proctor and support state testing, including adaptations required by IEPs, at physical locations.
• Engage in student recruitment sessions and other marketing initiatives.
• Attend professional development sessions and pursue continuous professional growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues through both virtual and in-person meetings, maintaining ongoing communication.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• This position is for the 2026–27 school year, starting as soon as possible.
• Candidates must be highly qualified and certified to teach Special Education in Idaho.
• A valid Idaho Exceptional Child Education #7029 (K–12) credential is required.
• Applicants must reside in Idaho.
• Strong technology skills are necessary, particularly in Google Workspace, Zoom, and Windows-based operating systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Strong organizational skills and a keen attention to detail are required.
• Ability to analyze data, develop and implement intervention plans, and track student progress is important.
• A high degree of flexibility and strong collaboration skills are necessary.
• Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities in a remote, home-based setting is required.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for marketing events, field trips, and state testing, which may include overnight travel.
• Availability for occasional evening hours to support families is necessary.
• A private, distraction-free workspace is required.
• High-speed internet access is necessary.
• Appropriate childcare arrangements for dependent children during scheduled work hours (8 am–4 pm MST) are required.
• Two-step authentication is required; use of a personal device may be necessary.
• Must be consistently available during the school day, from 8 am to 4 pm MST.
