This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho.
• Virtually oversee around 150 homeroom students who have IEPs.
• Monitor daily attendance, engagement, participation, grades, progress, and course completion.
• Recognize at-risk students and collaborate on interventions with teachers, counselors, case managers, and administrators.
• Act as the main contact for families and students regarding procedures, concerns, and support.
• Maintain regular communication with parents, learning coaches, students, and families concerning IEP goals and requirements.
• Conduct outreach through phone calls, video meetings, emails, and messaging-platform check-ins.
• Document outreach efforts, interventions, and student progress.
• Facilitate weekly homeroom/advisory sessions.
• Coordinate specially designed instruction in accordance with IEPs.
• Collaborate with counselors, special education staff, administrators, and subject teachers.
• Engage in professional development, team meetings, and school-wide initiatives.
• Keep accurate records in the Learning Management System and special education software.
• Organize and implement IEP documentation, paperwork, and procedures.
• Schedule, organize, and conduct virtual meetings related to IEPs.
• Assist with state testing and coordinate special adaptations required by IEPs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field in Education is required.
• A valid Idaho teaching endorsement is mandatory.
• Preference for candidates with an Idaho Exceptional Child Generalist (K-12) teaching endorsement.
• Applicants must be residents of Idaho.
• Proficient technology skills, particularly in Google Suite, Microsoft Windows, and MS Office.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with a strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Capability to analyze, develop, implement, and monitor intervention plans and strategies.
• High level of adaptability and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven track record of being a collaborative team player.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for marketing, field trips, and state testing events, which may include overnight trips.
• Availability to work some evening hours as required.
• A distraction-free private workspace is essential.
• Access to high-speed internet is required.
• Suitable childcare arrangements must be made, if applicable, during scheduled work hours of 8 AM to 4 PM MST.
• Two-step authentication is necessary and may require the use of a personal device.
