• Oversee the inventory of spare parts for TW that are essential for startup, commissioning, and warranty service operations.
• Ensure accurate records of inventory, including stocking levels and reorder points.
• Create and manage inventory control procedures, conduct cycle counts, and perform audits.
• Guarantee that parts are stored correctly, labeled appropriately, and easily accessible for the service team.
• Formulate methods and systems for predictive parts recommendations grounded in historical usage data, failure rates, and the importance of parts at customer locations.
• Assess trends to decide which parts should be kept in stock internally versus those that should be quoted individually.
• Constantly improve stocking strategies to achieve a balance between availability and carrying costs.
• Create customized spare parts recommendations for customers to keep on site, particularly for equipment that is out of warranty.
• Prepare and provide spare parts quotations to customers.
• Offer parts quotes for service requests related to out-of-warranty items on an individual basis.
• Inform customers about the importance of having critical spare parts on site.
• Cultivate and maintain strong partnerships with key parts vendors and suppliers.
• Keep track of lead times, pricing, and parts availability across the supply chain.
• Identify and evaluate suitable replacement parts and alternative sources to minimize supply risk.
• Broaden the vendor network to accommodate new equipment lines, obsolete parts, and competitive pricing.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and supply agreements with suppliers.
• Lead and develop the Spare Parts Department team.
• Set departmental goals, KPIs, and reporting that align with Operations objectives.
• Collaborate with Service, Engineering, Sales, and Project Management teams.
• Provide regular reports to the COO regarding department performance, risks, and opportunities.
• A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).
• Experience in supporting startup and commissioning activities for HVAC or mechanical systems.
• Experience in creating predictive maintenance or criticality-based stocking programs.
• Extensive experience with spare parts for HVAC systems, including mechanical, electrical, and controls components.
• Proven expertise in inventory management and parts operations.
• Demonstrated success in building and managing vendor relationships.
• Experience in preparing customer quotes and recommendations.
• A record of leading or developing a parts or operations team.
• Strong analytical abilities with the capacity to develop data-driven stocking and forecasting models.
• Working knowledge of HVAC equipment and components, including failure modes and servicing methods.
• Familiarity with ERP, inventory management, and parts catalog systems.
• Excellent skills in vendor negotiation and relationship management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for interactions with customers.
• Ability to lead a department and work collaboratively across Operations, Service, and Engineering.
