Spanish VRI/OPI Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during a call.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary relevant to the industry in which the interpreter operates, particularly in healthcare and medical contexts.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages, without adding, omitting, or substituting any content.

• Deliver the highest standard of customer service throughout the interpreting process.

• Facilitate effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and complete interpretation of messages.

• Apply established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Maintain communication and provide reports to your team leader.

• Adhere to dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Spanish."

• At least 1 year of experience in telephone interpretation with a reputable interpretation company.

• Solid understanding of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is a plus.

• International certifications in the healthcare field are advantageous (such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• High emotional intelligence and respect for diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention abilities.

• Technical requirements for remote work include a dedicated high-speed internet connection, with a minimum download speed of 10 Mbps and upload speed of 5 Mbps, as well as system requirements (Windows 10, 2 GHz processor, 8 GB RAM).

• Utilize a wired noise-cancelling headset with a built-in microphone.
