Spanish VRI/OPI Interpretation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Puerto Rico.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be prepared to take notes during calls.

• Have a solid understanding of the specific vocabulary relevant to the healthcare and medical industries.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages without adding, omitting, or substituting any information.

• Deliver the highest standard of customer service during interpretation.

• Facilitate effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and Clients by providing precise and complete interpretations of messages.

• Implement standards of practice consistently.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Maintain communication and provide reports to your team leader.

• Adhere to dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Spanish-Puerto Rico".

• At least 1 year of over-the-phone interpretation experience with a reputable interpretation company.

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is an advantage.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are beneficial (PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Possess high emotional intelligence and cultural tolerance.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
