Spanish to French OPI/VRI Interpretation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Dominican Republic.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during a call.

• Have a solid understanding of the specific terminology relevant to the industry in which the interpreter operates, particularly in healthcare and medical contexts.

• Accurately and completely convey messages, without adding, omitting, or altering content.

• Deliver the highest standard of customer service during interpretation sessions.

• Facilitate communication between Limited French Proficient individuals and Clients by providing precise and comprehensive interpretation of the messages.

• Implement established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional development training.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report to your team leader regularly.

• Adhere to dress code standards for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Fluent in French as the source language and a native speaker of Spanish as the target language.

• Over 1 year of experience in over-the-telephone interpretation at a reputable interpretation company.

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is advantageous.

• Possession of international certifications in the healthcare sector is a plus (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Demonstrated high emotional intelligence and cultural tolerance.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
