Spanish to French OPI/VRI Interpretation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be prepared to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary relevant to the industry in which the interpreter operates (particularly in healthcare and medical fields).

• Accurately and completely convey all messages, without adding, omitting, or substituting content.

• Deliver the highest standard of customer service during interpretation sessions.

• Facilitate communication between Limited French Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and complete interpretations of messages.

• Implement established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training programs.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report to your team leader as necessary.

• Adhere to dress code standards for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (French) and a native speaker of the target language (Spanish).

• Over 1 year of experience in over-the-telephone interpretation within a reputable interpretation company.

• Strong understanding of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is an advantage.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are a plus (such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• High emotional intelligence and an appreciation for diverse cultures.

• Exceptional communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
