Spanish to English Medical Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bolivia.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls professionally, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary relevant to the healthcare and medical sectors, as training will be provided.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages, without adding, omitting, or substituting any information.

• Deliver exceptional customer service during the interpreting process.

• Facilitate communication between clients with Limited English Proficiency and stakeholders by providing precise and thorough interpretation of messages.

• Uphold established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining additional professional certifications.

• Maintain open communication and report to your team leader.

• Adhere to dress code standards for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Ukrainian".

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in telephone interpretation with a recognized interpretation company is advantageous, but not essential.

• Knowledge of medical terminology is beneficial, but not required.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is a plus.

• Possession of international certifications in the healthcare sector is favorable (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Strong emotional intelligence and appreciation for diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention capabilities.
