Spanish Medical Interpreter, Experienced

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be prepared to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary relevant to the industry you will be interpreting for (specifically healthcare and medical) - training will be provided.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages, ensuring no additions, omissions, or substitutions.

• Deliver the highest standard of customer service during interpreting sessions.

• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and complete interpretation of messages.

• Apply established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training.

• Show a willingness to obtain new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report to your team leader.

• Adhere to dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Spanish."

• A minimum of 1 year of over-the-telephone interpretation experience in a reputable interpretation company is preferred, but not required.

• Familiarity with medical terminology is advantageous but not essential.

• Awareness of legal terminology is beneficial.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are a plus (such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Strong emotional intelligence and an appreciation for diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
