This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist the Edify team in Latin America in identifying, modifying, or creating a Spanish-language literacy assessment.
• Conduct a swift needs analysis by collecting user requests from Edify's educational leadership.
• Investigate existing assessment options and present solutions to the Edify team in Latin America.
• If necessary, develop a new assessment tool.
• Document essential features as requested by Edify personnel.
• Create a comparison matrix highlighting key features against existing assessment tools and prioritize recommendations.
• Collect feedback from stakeholders and refine the assessment tool accordingly.
• Test the new tool in selected schools and make adjustments based on the feedback received.
• Deliver the final prototype of the tool to Edify.
• Familiarity with assessment design and the ability to create empirically valid questions.
• Knowledge of early literacy skills and competencies, including reading comprehension.
• Understanding of literacy assessments at the secondary school level.
• Excellent analytical and research abilities.
• Cross-cultural awareness and the capacity to collaborate with teams from varied backgrounds.
• Proficiency in Spanish.
• Capability to convey requirements to technical leads and offer user feedback, with coding and/or database knowledge being an advantage.
• Compensation will be aligned with experience and will be paid on an hourly basis.
• Monthly invoices will be submitted by the consultant, with a cap of 80 hours per month (any anticipated hours beyond this limit must receive supervisor approval).
