Spanish Interpreter – Over the Phone, Video Remote

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be prepared to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary pertinent to the industry, particularly in healthcare and medical fields.

• Deliver all messages accurately and completely, without any additions, omissions, or substitutions.

• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the interpreting process.

• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by delivering accurate and comprehensive interpretations of messages.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Show eagerness to obtain new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report regularly to your team leader.

• Follow dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Fluent in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language (Spanish).

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in over-the-phone interpretation within a reputable interpretation company.

• Strong understanding of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is advantageous.

• Possession of international certifications in the healthcare sector is a plus (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• High emotional intelligence and an ability to tolerate diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
