This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create and sustain workplace planning documentation, such as block and stack plans, space plans, furniture layouts, installation drawings, move plans, and other technical outputs.
• Convert sketches, design ideas, specifications, and project documents into precise two- and three-dimensional planning solutions while ensuring alignment with client standards, internal protocols, and relevant guidelines.
• Recognize planning limitations, layout discrepancies, and installation obstacles, proposing alternative solutions that align with project goals and facilitate successful execution.
• Assist in workplace relocations and furniture installation projects by crafting move documentation, furniture installation plans, furniture requirements, pull lists, reuse strategies, and procurement coordination materials as necessary.
• Uphold furniture libraries, drawing standards, and planning templates to guarantee accuracy and consistency across various projects.
• Revise and update planning documentation throughout the project lifecycle to reflect evolving requirements and maintain synchronization with project timelines and operational needs.
• Manage space planning and occupancy data within CAD, CAFM, and related systems, aiding in accurate reporting, operational planning, and space management efforts.
• Perform regular audits to ensure data integrity, and take part in site visits, field surveys, furniture inventories, and project meetings to collect information and confirm conditions.
• Organize project files and drawing libraries while contributing to the ongoing enhancement of planning standards, drafting practices, and workplace planning methodologies.
• Over 2 years of experience in space planning, workplace planning, facilities planning, interior design support, furniture planning, or a related area.
• An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Facilities Management, Space Planning, Environmental Design, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in developing technical drawings, furniture layouts, installation plans, and workplace planning documentation using AutoCAD or similar software.
• Preference for candidates with experience supporting workplace relocations, occupancy planning, furniture installations, or space management initiatives.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other space planning, drafting, or visualization tools.
• Capability to create and maintain space plans, furniture layouts, installation drawings, and move documentation.
• Understanding of workplace planning principles, space utilization, and occupancy management.
• Strong attention to detail and dedication to the accuracy of drawings and quality of documentation.
• Ability to interpret floor plans, specifications, furniture standards, and project requirements.
• Experience in maintaining CAD, CAFM, IWMS, or related space management systems.
• Excellent organizational and documentation management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, project teams, and stakeholders.
• Problem-solving abilities to identify planning conflicts and suggest practical solutions.
• Capability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related business software.
• Preferred experience with furniture systems and workplace standards.
• Ability to perform site surveys, furniture inventories, and field verification as needed.
• Some travel may be required to facilitate site visits, surveys, and project coordination activities.
