This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist Government clients in a technical role for the planning, execution, monitoring, and oversight of satellite system development and acquisition studies that enhance customer-defined space architectures.
• Act as a senior technical advisor to Government clients, aiding in the creation and evaluation of annual organizational technical work plans and the director’s intent.
• Function as an individual contributor while collaborating with a team of high-achieving Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Operations Research Analysts, and software developers who provide lifecycle systems engineering and management processes to deliver essential space capabilities in support of the Government.
• Oversee acquisitions, technologies, and studies, with a particular focus on system engineering processes to ensure comprehensive system closure and fulfillment of mission needs/requirements.
• Coordinate and lead initiatives across multiple simultaneous studies and/or assigned tasks.
• Regularly engage and build productive relationships with program managers, SETAs, FFRDCs, and other external stakeholders.
• Evaluate deliverables to ensure they meet content, technical accuracy, and design detail requirements for program objectives.
• Support risk management strategies and methodologies for identifying, assessing, and addressing program risks; analyze to pinpoint program risk areas and suggest/implement mitigation strategies.
• Create documents and presentations to convey work status and briefings to government and industry as necessary.
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with over 10 years of professional experience or a master's degree in a STEM field with more than 8 years of professional experience.
• Extensive background in systems engineering, satellite systems & subsystems, and program acquisition.
• Experience in the space domain with knowledge in various areas such as astrodynamics, orbital mechanics, rendezvous and proximity operations; satellite communications; missile warning/missile defense; space-based positioning, navigation and timing; remote sensing; environmental monitoring; command and control; battle management; multi-domain effects; and space domain awareness.
• Ability to collaborate across disciplines in a fast-paced, dynamic, and small team setting.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• US Citizenship is mandatory.
• Occasional travel is anticipated.
• Remote support is available.
