Senior Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Creation of design documentation encompassing application descriptions, interface control documents, system design drawings, system integration, network configuration, and test plans.

• Engagement in discussions with customers, consultants, vendors, subcontractors, and other personnel from Eastern Communications to fulfill contractual obligations and progress projects.

• Involvement in technical planning, ordering system components, system integration, and conducting verification, validation, cost, risk, supportability, and effectiveness analyses for comprehensive systems.

• Examination at all levels of the system product lifecycle, which includes concept, design, fabrication, testing, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.

• Systematic transformation of customer or product requirements into complete systems and subsystem solutions that consider technical, scheduling, and budgetary constraints.

• Assume Systems Engineering project ownership post-contract award, which includes final design and equipment selection, implementation, as-built documentation, factory, and on-site installation, as well as system optimization.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as Project Managers, Network Engineers, and other System Engineers, to ensure thorough integration throughout the project lifecycle.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

• Availability to travel domestically (~25% travel).
