Sourcing Manager – Meeting & Event Venues

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with clients to grasp meeting objectives, sleeping room, and spatial requirements.

• Adopt a consultative approach in your interactions.

• Offer recommendations grounded in supplier relationships, budget constraints, location, availability, as well as goals and objectives.

• Distribute, oversee, and assess supplier Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to fulfill client meeting needs.

• Negotiate contracts to secure the most favorable pricing and concessions, ensuring savings expectations on meeting expenditures are met.

• Identify preferred ground transportation providers and present proposals to the group.

• Efficiently manage amendments and cancellation requests.

• Stay updated on new destination options, competitively priced seasonal destinations, and "hot date" offerings.

• Record and update contracted details and negotiated savings within CVENT.

• Monitor hotel penalties for rebooking opportunities.

• Comply with client standards and performance management SLAs.

• Deliver exceptional customer service.

⛳️ Requirements

• Knowledge of the travel industry and various destinations is advantageous.

• Experience with CVENT is essential; certification is preferred.

• International experience is a plus.

• Experience in the Pharma/Medical Device sector is beneficial.

• Certifications such as CMP, CMM, HMCC, or CMP-HC are advantageous.

• Excellent customer service abilities.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.

• Proven experience in hotel sourcing and contracting, as well as meetings management.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the Windows platform.
