Director, Agile Procurement – Transformation Categories

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the initial Agile strategic project throughout the global organization while fostering the development of an Agile mindset within the Procurement team.

• Develop an Agile roadmap, initiate program ideation, and create business cases/ROI for prospective Agile initiatives.

• Assist Freight & Logistics and MRO Category Managers in formulating and implementing multi-year sourcing strategies that align with business and operational objectives.

• Convert stakeholder requirements into actionable sourcing plans, which include RFPs, negotiations, renewals, and supplier transitions.

• Ensure uniform execution of sourcing strategies across various regions by utilizing structured governance, tools, and best practices.

• Enhance the speed, rigor, and discipline in sourcing execution—guaranteeing timely achievement of promised outcomes.

• Provide direct support and enablement to Strategic Sourcing Managers and Category Managers in executing high-impact initiatives.

• Collaborate with teams to identify, assess, and manage key suppliers to ensure service reliability, cost efficiency, and performance enhancement.

• Assist in negotiation strategies and contract formulation.

• Propel supplier performance management, encompassing scorecards, governance, and initiatives for continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related discipline; an MBA or professional certification is preferred.

• Over 8 years of progressive experience in indirect sourcing, logistics, supply chain, or MRO categories, with a global perspective.

• Proven success in supporting and executing large-scale sourcing initiatives and supplier negotiations.

• Experience in leading Agile programming and strategy, including continuous improvement, lean six sigma, and value engineering.

• Strong commercial insight, with the capability to drive value through cost modeling and contract strategies.

• Demonstrated ability to coach and empower Category Managers and Sourcing Managers.

• Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and influencing abilities.

• Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Capacity to function in a fast-paced, global, and highly matrixed environment.
