
Sourcing Lean Leader – Supplier Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Offers technical expertise to suppliers in areas such as Process Development, Capacity Planning, Inventory Requirements, and Management to fulfill GE's demands and supplier needs.
• Facilitates Value Stream Analysis and Kaizen initiatives with key suppliers to achieve strategic objectives for GE and the supply chain.
• Promotes process and systemic quality enhancements at designated supplier sites by utilizing lean and quality tools, validating improvements with measurable metrics to minimize defects and enhance On-Time Delivery (OTD).
• Collaborates with Plant Quality teams and Suppliers to troubleshoot issues, leading cross-functional groups to resolve significant challenges at Supplier locations.
• Conducts analyses (Commodity, Quality Systems, DPPM, DMR) to identify trends and recommend actions for performance enhancement.
• Assists in training internal personnel and other departments on the Supplier Lean governance strategy, policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Prepares, disseminates, and communicates regular updates on Supplier performance status and risk evaluations.
• Actively implements GE's established Supplier Development Procedures, Processes, and work instructions within the region.
• Aids in reviewing processes and procedures while promoting continuous improvement initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in quality, mechanical, electrical, industrial, operations, or other related fields.
• Extensive experience in Quality/Materials/Operations across various plants or business units.
• Demonstrated understanding of Quality Sciences, including APQP, Problem Solving, Sampling, Statistical Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, and PDCA.
• Some prior leadership experience in management, supervision, or project/program leadership roles.
• Proven experience in lean methodologies: Leading transformation initiatives and Kaizen events.
• Proficiency in lean tools (VSM, Problem Solving, A3 Thinking, Gauge R&R, SMED).
• Familiarity with industry-specific quality certifications (ISO9001:2008 & ISO9001:2015).
• Ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
• Capacity to work collaboratively across various functions.
• Proficient in English as a primary or secondary language.
• Developing expertise in quality/processes within one or more commodities.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time.
