This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Delivers technical expertise to suppliers in areas such as Process Development, Capacity Planning, and Inventory Management to align with GE's demands and supplier requirements.
• Facilitates Value Stream Analysis and Kaizen events with key suppliers to achieve strategic objectives for GE and its supply chain.
• Implements process and systemic quality enhancements at designated supplier locations utilizing lean and quality tools, validating improvements through established metrics to minimize defects and enhance On-Time Delivery (OTD).
• Collaborates with Plant Quality and Suppliers to resolve issues, leading cross-functional teams to address significant challenges at Supplier sites.
• Conducts analysis (Commodity, Quality Systems, DPPM, DMR) to identify trends and recommend actions to improve performance.
• Assists in training internal personnel and other departments on Supplier Lean governance strategies, policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Prepares, disseminates, and communicates regular Supplier performance updates and risk assessments.
• Works to implement GE’s established Supplier Development Procedures, Processes, and work instructions in the region.
• Aids in the review of processes and procedures alongside continuous improvement initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in quality, mechanical, electrical, industrial, operations, or other related fields.
• Extensive experience in Quality, Materials, or Operations across various plants or business units.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Quality Sciences, including APQP, problem-solving, sampling, statistical analysis, root cause analysis, and PDCA.
• Previous leadership experience in management, supervision, or project/program leadership is preferred.
• Proven experience in lean practices, including driving transformations and leading Kaizen events.
• Proficient in lean tools such as VSM, Problem Solving, A3 Thinking, Gauge R&R, and SMED.
• Familiarity with industry-specific quality standards (ISO9001:2008 & ISO9001:2015).
• Capable of effective communication at all organizational levels.
• Ability to collaborate across functions.
• Proficiency in English as a primary or secondary language.
• Developing expertise in quality/process within a specific commodity.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time.
