This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Leading and overseeing the technology and assessment phases of the sales process.
• Collaborating closely with the Account Executive as the primary technical advisor.
• Designing and documenting installed solutions of moderate complexity in line with project specifications.
• Conducting thorough analyses of plans, functional specifications, and site assessments to identify and recommend overall project requirements.
• Generating estimates and quotations for each project using estimation software tools.
• Assisting with customer inquiries by completing RFIs and RFPs.
• Actively communicating with colleagues, vendors, consultants, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
• Grasping requirements and partnering with the sales team to convey the value proposition of CTC products and services to clients.
• Providing feedback, reviewing, and coordinating the creation of shop drawings and wiring diagrams, ensuring alignment with project plans and specifications.
• Identifying cost-effective solutions that fulfill customer requirements within the project timeline.
• Collaborating with vendors to register project scopes to guarantee optimal pricing and product availability.
• Advising the Sales Professional and Project Manager on necessary products for installation.
• May prepare and/or review formal submittal booklets that include schematics and technical documentation as needed to support each contract.
• College degree, trade school diploma, or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in sales engineering, estimating, or a related field.
• Outstanding customer focus and the capacity to perform under pressure.
• Proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement and taking initiative.
• Fundamental understanding of engineering principles and practices associated with building automation systems, fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security systems.
• Excellent organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
