This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee the Enterprise West Solutions Engineering team, emphasizing sales methodologies and metrics-driven best practices.
• Offer continuous mentorship to Sales Engineers (SEs) on pre-sales strategies to attract new clients and enhance relationships with existing customers across our comprehensive range of solutions.
• Regularly evaluate and enhance the technical skills of each team member to ensure that all SEs acquire and maintain the necessary technical expertise for effective pre-sales functions.
• Conduct periodic performance evaluations, assess individual skill sets, address personal matters, and provide opportunities for personal and professional growth.
• Collaborate with Regional Sales Directors and assist Sales/SE teams, utilizing sales campaigns to meet revenue goals.
• Recognize problem areas, devise appropriate solutions, and execute those solutions efficiently.
• Assist Sales Representatives and SE teams in their sales initiatives and customer management tasks to ensure a high success rate and achieve revenue targets by evaluating customer information, identifying and resolving issues, crafting suitable solutions, and presenting them effectively.
• Conduct sales presentations, share technical insights regarding Cribl’s products and services, and support Proof of Value events.
• As a remote-first company, this role covers multiple time zones, and you may be expected to perform tasks outside regular working hours.
• Demonstrated success in leading a technical pre-sales region within a software company, consistently achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual quota targets.
• Proven ability to instruct SEs on identifying new and existing opportunities through consultative selling methods.
• Experience in understanding and executing sales strategies with an SE team, particularly land and expand approaches, and customizing those strategies to boost revenue in your region.
• Strong communication skills for delivering presentations to executive-level customers, direct reports, and the Cribl Leadership Team.
• Experience in cultivating technical champions within customer organizations, including building relationships with senior executives.
• A self-motivated individual with a proactive approach capable of managing multiple tasks, projects, and responsibilities concurrently.
• Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a considerate and professional demeanor towards your team, customers, and colleagues.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, along with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in pre-sales leadership.
• Willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time.
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in selling Security and/or DevOps solutions.
