Solutions Engineer, SQL, Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Curate and manage media datasets (audio, video, speech) from initial data ingestion to quality assurance and final delivery to clients.

• Convert customer AI data needs into actionable curation strategies, engaging directly with complex, unstructured real-world data.

• Develop scripts, lightweight tools, and repeatable QA processes to enhance the speed and consistency of deliveries.

• Act as the internal catalog authority — monitoring content coverage, the quality of metadata, and identifying gaps in relation to customer needs.

• Collaborate across teams, including Sales, Product, and Engineering, to guide the platform roadmap and minimize customized delivery efforts over time.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong proficiency in SQL — must be adept at querying large, complex, real-world datasets.

• Practical experience with data pipelines, ETL/ELT, or data engineering tools (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Airflow, dbt).

• Comfortable in customer-facing or cross-functional settings — capable of clearly communicating technical tasks to external stakeholders.

• Experience in an early-stage startup environment (Series A–C); candidates with backgrounds exclusively in large tech companies are not preferred.

• Ability to work with unstructured, imperfect, and evolving data — this position requires thriving in ambiguity rather than waiting for clean inputs.
