Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Zealand.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with Account Executives to enhance Verkada's presence within Fortune 500 companies

• Engage directly with customers, partners, and stakeholders throughout the sales cycle

• Evaluate business and technical requirements

• Address and resolve technical objections

• Support customers in designing implementations using Verkada products

• Offer technical support to territory account representatives

• Act as a trusted technical advisor to CTOs, CISOs, IT executives, security engineers, network engineers, and physical security leaders

• Comprehend and analyze customer needs to develop and design system solutions

• Work in conjunction with Sales to evaluate and qualify opportunities while translating business needs into technical specifications

• Conduct product demonstrations and present to both technical and non-technical audiences

• Function as Verkada's technical subject matter expert, working alongside Product, Support, Marketing, and Enablement teams

• Travel may be required up to 25%

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information and Computer Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related Engineering discipline from an accredited institution

• Extensive experience in Cloud Security, IoT Systems, Networking, Linux systems, Security Surveillance, and Access Control

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, TLS, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VLANs, and Layer 2 devices

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with effective presentation capabilities

• Excellent account management skills, attention to detail, and follow-through

• An entrepreneurial mindset with a positive attitude and a strong eagerness to learn

• Experience with IT infrastructure, Linux operating systems, APIs, Python, and other programming languages is preferred

• Industry certifications are advantageous: Network+, Security+, CCNA, AWS Solutions Architect, etc.

• Must be independently authorized to work in New Zealand; employment visa sponsorship is not available
