Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Maintain a personal billable rate of 75%, balancing contributions to projects with support for internal tasks and sales efforts.

• Ensure accurate and consistent time tracking using tools such as Jira and Tempo.

• Regularly communicate with Project Managers regarding your workload, task statuses, and any obstacles faced.

• Lead technical discovery sessions to gain insights into client workflows, data structures, and business goals, with a strong focus on PIM strategy and integration.

• Act as the primary technical consultant and architect for client implementations, particularly in relation to PIM.

• Assist clients in evaluating and selecting suitable PIM platforms based on their business requirements and potential for future growth.

• Contribute to pre-sales efforts by developing technical scopes, designing solutions, and evaluating platforms with a focus on PIM functionalities.

• Collect requirements for integrating systems between PIM and other platforms for data ingestion and syndication.

• Work collaboratively with and delegate tasks to the Business Analyst and Sr. Business Analyst team to ensure precise configuration, data modeling, and deployment of PIM systems.

• Stay informed about emerging technologies in the PIM domain and lead internal assessments to determine relevance and business impact.

• Ensure the high-quality delivery of PIM-enabled solutions that align with client objectives, system constraints, and long-term maintainability.

• Lead change management initiatives by presenting a compelling business case for new PIM workflows or enhancements.

• Advocate for standardization and documentation of processes related to workflows, integrations, and data governance within PIM systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Digital Media, Engineering, or a related field is preferred; equivalent professional experience may substitute for formal education.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in solutions engineering, technical consulting, or systems architecture, ideally within a digital agency or professional services setting.

• Prior experience in a consulting or agency environment managing multiple concurrent clients and billable projects is highly preferred.

• Proven experience leading technical discovery sessions and converting business needs into scalable solution designs.

• Demonstrated background in managing complex, multi-system implementations and integrations.

• Proficiency in project management and time-tracking software such as Jira and Tempo.

• Experience in creating technical documentation, including architectural specifications, field mappings, and integration requirements.

• Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including C-suite executives and client leadership.

• Extensive hands-on experience with one or more PIM platforms such as Inriver, Akeneo, Salsify, or Censhare, including configuration, data modeling, and system integration.

• Over 3 years of experience working on large-scale enterprise digital platforms (PIM, DAM, CMS, e-commerce, or MDM) or other data-intensive applications.

• Strong comprehension of API principles relevant to system integration architecture, along with practical experience using REST APIs.

• Capability to read and follow logical code paths (e.g., ASP.NET, Java, JavaScript, VBA) to assist with integration design, troubleshooting, and collaboration with development teams.

• Experience with data mapping, system integrations, and API-driven data ingestion and syndication workflows.
