This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead customer and internal discovery sessions to gain insights into workflows, document intake channels, system-of-record requirements, pain points, integration needs, and success criteria.
• Design future-state workflows for fax, Direct Secure Messaging, intelligent document processing, classification, extraction, routing, indexing, and integration into downstream systems.
• Convert business and technical requirements into architectural recommendations for Concord products, integration engines, secure APIs, FHIR/HL7 workflows, folder-based delivery, and EHR integrations.
• Collaborate with Sales Engineering, Sales, Legal, Product, Engineering, and Professional Services to establish scope, assumptions, deliverables, acceptance criteria, implementation sequencing, and customer responsibilities.
• Provide technical guidance throughout onboarding, proof-of-concept, pilot, and production implementation phases.
• Identify potential risks, validate designs, and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Develop and maintain solution design documents, workflow diagrams, integration notes, field mapping documentation, interface specifications, test plans, and handoff materials.
• Work closely with Implementation Project Managers, Support, DevOps, Product, Engineering, and Sales Engineering to ensure consistent delivery and transition to support.
• Utilize healthcare interoperability expertise to create reliable and maintainable integrations.
• Contribute to the development of reusable templates, service packages, discovery questionnaires, estimation models, implementation playbooks, and best practices.
• Act as a trusted advisor to customers, simplifying complex technical concepts for executive, operational, clinical, IT, and compliance stakeholders.
• Over 8 years of experience in solutions architecture, interoperability, or a related technical role that involves customer interaction.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare document workflows, fax workflows, clinical intake, referral management, orders/results workflows, payer/provider operations, or similar healthcare administrative processes.
• Practical experience in designing or supporting integrations with EHRs, practice management systems, document management systems, data platforms, or other healthcare systems of record.
• Familiarity with HL7 v2, FHIR APIs, CDA/CCDA, secure APIs, and interface-engine based integration.
• Proven ability to lead discovery sessions, pose structured questions, synthesize complex requirements, and generate clear solution documentation.
• Experience in writing Statements of Work, technical scopes, implementation plans, acceptance criteria, customer obligations, risks, assumptions, and managing change-control discussions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of HIPAA, healthcare privacy/security standards, and secure management of customer data.
• Strong organizational skills and capacity to handle multiple active opportunities or implementations concurrently.
• Preferred: Experience with Concord Cloud Fax, NEXTSTEP, Concord Connect, Direct Secure Messaging, or similar platforms.
• Preferred: Familiarity with Epic, Cerner/Oracle Health, OnBase, Rhapsody, Mirth Connect, Cloverleaf, Ensemble/HealthShare, GoAnywhere, or similar tools.
• Preferred: Experience with AI-assisted document classification, OCR, extraction, workflow automation, or intelligent document processing.
• Preferred: Experience in creating workflow diagrams, architecture diagrams, requirements documents, PRDs, implementation guides, or customer-facing solution presentations.
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
• Relevant certifications are advantageous.
